Q. Where can I buy products?

We’re excited to announce that some of our products are now available at Katagiri in Manhattan and Acre in Brooklyn! More stores will be added soon, so be sure to check out our Instagram highlights under "Stockists" for updates. In Japan, our products are available at approximately 3,000 stores, including supermarkets and convenience stores with a focus on natural and organic products, primarily in Tokyo.

Q. Does BS1 use ethically sourced ingredients?

At BS1, we are proud to offer products that are ethically sourced, including our Coconut Crisps and Coconut Brownie Crisps. The ingredients for these products come from our longtime partner, Tony, an entrepreneur from a farming family in the Philippines. For over 10 years, Tony has been a dedicated local leader working to improve the working conditions of farmers. His passion lies in ensuring that not only the current generation but also future generations of farmers can work in agriculture with confidence and security.

As part of our commitment to ethical sourcing, we take on the responsibility of branding and sales, supporting Tony's mission with a long-term vision. Our goal is to help expand these efforts across the Philippines and globally, creating a positive impact on local communities.

In addition, our manufacturing partner for Better than Butter is a member of the Sustainable Coconut & Coconut Oil Roundtable, where we collaborate to promote sustainable coconut sourcing practices.

Q. Are BS1 products organic?

Our products prioritize using ingredients from producers who are certified organic whenever possible. However, obtaining organic certification can be a significant burden in terms of time, cost, and effort, especially for producers in developing countries. Therefore, we do not require all ingredients to be certified organic. Our stance is to use certified organic ingredients whenever possible. If the ingredients are not certified, we ensure that they have a production background that respects the environment (water, soil, and air), and we only use ingredients that have passed pesticide residue testing.

Our philosophy is based on the question, "Would I feed this to my own children?" and we apply this standard to carefully select ingredients. We also place great importance on visiting the production sites in person and inspecting the farms, taking the perspective of the consumer. We strive to remain a trustworthy food brand that you can feel safe sharing with your children.

Q. Are BS1 products gluten-free?

Yes, none of our products contain gluten.

Q. Are BS1 products vegan?

Yes. Keeping in mind our mission to provide better options for the planet, animals, and people, all of our products have been developed with that vision. As such, all of our products are vegan.

Q. Are BS1 products Non-GMO?

All of our coconut products are USDA Organic certified. By definition, this means that they are also non-GMO.

Q. Do any BS1 products contain peanuts, tree nuts, or other common allergens?

Our products are free from all 9 major allergens as defined by the FDA.

Shipping & Online Ordering

Where do you ship your products?

Right now, we’re shipping orders daily to the lower 48 states only.

Shipping Fee

A flat shipping fee of $7 will be added to all orders, regardless of order size or location within the eligible states.

Return Policy

We strive to deliver high-quality products and accept returns for defective items as well as returns due to customer preference, provided the following conditions are met:

  • The item must be unused and in its original packaging.

  • Returns are accepted via mail only.

  • For returns due to defects, we will cover the return shipping costs. For all other returns, the return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.

  • Refunds will be processed within 7 business days after the returned item is received by us.

If you wish to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt. We will provide instructions for returning the item.

Exchanges: We currently do not accept exchanges.
